About Us
Our students have weekly violin lessons (30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on age and ability). suzuki students would also participate in a group class which meets every other week, and students on levels 2 and up have the option to join our Intermediate or advanced violin ensemble. All students are given the opportunity to perform in at least two solos recitals per year, with several other optional performance opportunities. We also offer orchestra and college audition preparation for advanced students. Many of our present and past students have won auditions for All South Jersey Orchestra, All State Orchestra, Temple Prep Orchestras, Philadelphia Sinfonia, and the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, and some have been admitted to prestigious collegiate music programs.
Mary Lucchi
Mary earned her Master’s Degree in Violin Performance from the Esther Boyer College of Music at Temple University, where she was a scholarship recipient and graduate teaching assistant. She earned her bachelor’s Degree in violin performance and music education from Rowan University, where she was awarded the W. Clarke Pfleeger medallion award for excellence in music. Mary is a registered Suzuki teacher and trained under Stevie Sandven at the Ithaca Suzuki Institute, and Carrie Reuning at the Philadelphia Suzuki Institute. Mary has performed with the Bay Atlantic Symphony, Peter Nero and the Philly Pops, the Academy of Vocal Arts Opera Orchestra, Delaware Symphony, Riverside Symphonia, Pottstown Symphony, and the Greater Trenton Symphony. She has studied with Hirono Oka, who is a member of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and with Gerald Beal and Leslie Webster. She also manages and plays in the Lucchi String Quartet. She is currently the String Orchestra Director at Moorestown Friends School where she teaches students in grades 2-12. Mary is dedicated to teaching and enjoys working with children of all ages.
Marco Lucchi
Marco earned his Artist’s Violin Diploma from Conservatorio Arrigo Boito in Parma, Italy. After coming to the USA, he earned his Master’s Degree in violin performance from the Esther Boyer College of Music at Temple University. Marco is a registered Suzuki teacher and trained under Stevie Sandven at the Ithaca Suzuki Institute, as well as with Ann Montzka-Smelser and Linda Fiore at the Greater Washington Suzuki Institute. While in Italy, Marco was a member of the Arcangelo Corelli Chamber Orchestra for many years. He is currently a member of the Riverside Symphonia, and the Bay Atlantic Symphony, and has also performed recently with Symphony in C, Delaware Symphony, Philadelphia Virtuosi, Pennsylvania Sinfonia, Pottstown Symphony, and the NJ Capital Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as playing in the Lucchi String Quartet. He has over 20 years teaching experience, and is currently the orchestra director in the Manalapan Englishtown School District. Marco has studied with Hirono Oka, Lenuta Ciulei, Enzo Porta, and Grazia Serradimigni.

Lucchi Strings, founded by husband and wife team Mary and Marco Lucchi, is a group of degreed, professional musicians who are very experienced in performing for weddings and special events.
We serve South Jersey, Philadelphia and its suburbs, and northern Delaware. All of our musicians perform at a high standard of excellence and will make your event beautiful and memorable.
We offer the option of choosing to book a string quartet (2 violins, viola, and cello), a string trio (2 violins and cello), a string duo (2 violins or violin and cello), or a violin or cello soloist. For all events the musicians will provide 20 minutes of prelude music prior to the ceremony, music during the ceremony and/or cocktail hour, and unlimited phone/personal consultations on music selection and ceremony details.
What We Offer
Founded by husband and wife team Marco & Mary Lucchi, Lucchi Violin Studio offers private and group violin lessons to students of all ability levels, beginner to advanced, in Cherry Hill and convenient to Moorestown, Mount Laurel, Haddonfield, Voorhees, and surrounding areas.We also offer audition preparation for the All South Jersey and All State Orchestra auditions.Our instructors teach both traditional and suzuki lessons, depending on the individual needs of the student, whether they are a young beginner or an advanced student on the college level.

We also do orchestra and college audition preparation for advanced students.
